Barrier Breaker Nr. 163 FRIESLAND

The ship was named FRIESLAND after 1929. After 25.09.1941 the ship was part of the 1. Barrier Breaker Flotilla (1. Sperrbrecher-Flottille) and served as Barrier Breaker Nr. 163. During a Mine-Clearing Mission together with Barrier Breaker Nr. 167, Barrier Breaker 176 and Flakjäger 22 on the 19.03.1944, the ship was hit by a Mine at 20:05 and sunk on 20.03.1944 at 00:40 and 44 crew members got lost.
