The submarine WILHELM BAUER is moored in the Old Port of Bremerhaven. It is maintained by the Verein Technikmuseum U-Boat WILHELM BAUER e.V.
The submarine WILHELM BAUER (formerly U 2540) was built in 1945 at the Blohm & Voss shipyard as a warship. Today it is a museum ship in the Old Port of Bremerhaven. In 1983, the Board of Trustees for the Promotion of the German Maritime Museum e.V. took over the submarine. Today it is maintained by the Verein Technikmuseum U-Boot WILHELM BAUER e.V.
