Dr. Christian Ostersehlte
”Since a school internship during the Easter holidays in 1977 (with which one did not know how to do anything else) the connection to the house exists. So in the spring of 2016 I gladly accepted the call to Bremerhaven.“

About the person
Generally I deal with German and international maritime history of 19th and 20th century. My PhD. work (1986) described the history of the German Life-Boat Institution. Besides sea rescue, I have researched and still do on the TITANIC, history of shipyards and shipping companies, towage, icebreaking, coast guards and other maritime institutions. I also maintain an interest in military/naval history.
